We’re in the 21st century right? Yearbooks are no longer limited to cutting, sticking and photocopying (although the scrapbook-style design is still en vogue). Now you can work via a web browser and create your yearbook pages online with friends!
In short, a school yearbook is a publication celebrating memories and events during your time at school. A yearbook contains photos (usually) provided by students and text written by students and teaching staff and is a lasting memento which can be thumbed through again and again. Online yearbooks are great, but what happens when the hosting runs out? Your yearbook full of treasured memories will be lost. A printed yearbook will always be there whenever you want to revisit your school years.
If you’re feeling creative and want to design your own yearbook, we have two flexible, easy-to-use ways to unleash the designer in you!
Terms such as yearbook design, yearbook ideas and yearbook page ideas are fairly self explanatory, but what is a yearbook theme? What makes a good, or even great yearbook theme?
Like your favourite novel, your yearbook needs a title too! Titles are a high-impact way to introduce your yearbook and really put a personal stamp on it. Be extra clever and think of a title that perfectly sums up your time in school or your year. Or, choose a more traditional title for your front cover or title page of your leavers’ book. If your yearbook follows a particular theme such as sport, music, film or theatre, tailor the title to fit your theme.
Proof HQ is an online proofing solution that allows approved individuals to access yearbook proofs online. Customers can view and review their proofs, add instructions for required amendments, attach new files or share the proof with their colleagues. Subsequently, everyone has access and visibility, and they are also all able to view each other’s comments and amendments. This leads the way for excellent and clear communication between you and all of your school yearbook colleagues, and also between you and the SPC Yearbooks team.
If you’re looking for great page ideas to add fun to your yearbook then you’re at the right place! Rewards pages and photo pages always work well, but there are other fun leavers’ book pages that you can break up your profile pages with too:
What a summer scorcher! A great way to end the school year and start the summer holidays.
The school may be able to help you by sending a letter to all students with a yearbook order form attached. Set your payment deadline for three weeks or more before you have to confirm the final order. This will give you time to give second (or third!) chances to buy.
