Tree Planting at Heartwood Forest 2017

On the 24th November we visited our forth consecutive tree planting day with The Woodland Trust. It was a beautifully sunny but windy autumnal day and we were joined by walking fanatic and Countryfile Presenter Julia Bradbury!

After a quick cuppa and bacon roll we set to work, aiming to plant 3000 deciduous trees in the stunning area of Heartwood Forest in Hertfordshire.

It was truly incredible to see just how many people had given their time to support the effort, and help us to reach the target of 3000 trees planted in just one day. Students, teachers and company staff working side by side.

After a delicious pasty lunch, we took a walk around Heartwood Forest and were shown how the Trust is planting every species of English tree to conserve our rich woodland culture for future generations.

Take a look at the following links for how you and your school can get involved in preserving our wonderful woodlands:

Our sincerest thanks the Woodland Trust and Premier Paper for allowing us to be involved in this fantastic day. We would also like to say a special thank you to the schools who joined us and were so fantastic on the day. We really hope we get the opportunity to take part in tree planting days next year too!
