How do I copy my Yearbook project from one machine to another?

We assume that what you want to do is migrate your Yearbook project from one computer to
another. At present there is no way to do this through the software, but, you can
do this manually. Here's how to do it;

If the scrapbook pictures (or masks, backgrounds and page-styles) were added
with the 'All Projects Of This Type' checkbox set they will be located in the
Application Data folder which can be found by doing the following;

• Double-Click 'My Computer'
• Double-Click the C drive icon (or the drive you have Windows installed on)
• Double-Click the 'Documents and Settings' folder to open it
• Double-Click the folder of the Username that you log in as when you start windows
   (mine is nicka but yours will be a specific name to you)
• Double-Click the 'Application Data' folder
• Find the 'SPC Page Creator' folder and Double-Click it to open it
• Copy the contents of it to a pen drive or CD (there should be several folders)

On the computer you wish to copy your project to, install the program from your pen drive.
Run the program once and then quit out of it. Now find the same location on your new
computer (C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\SPC Page Creator)
Delete the contents of the SPC Page Creator folder.
Now copy the contents of your pen drive/CD from the old computer into that folder on the
new computer.

Now you will need to copy the Projects folder from the old computer to the new one.
The projects folder is located in the 'My Documents' folder and is called 'SPC Page Creator
Projects'. Open this folder and copy the contents to your pen drive/CD. Now find the same
folder on the new computer (it should be empty). Copy the contents of the folder from the
old computer to the new one.

If you have used the pictures panel to import pictures to your project you will need to make
sure that you copy those pictures over to the new machine in the same location as they
are on the old machine so that the new version is able to see the image links. If this is not
done you will get errors when you open the project on the new computer!

Now run the software and select 'Open and Existing Project' - your project should appear
in the 'Open Project...' window.

You can do the same thing for splitting a project, just make sure you administer the split
documents carefully and let us know that you will be providing a split document to us for
processing.
