How to create your own page styles in the Yearbook Creator software

Visual instructions on how to create page styles in Yearbook CreatorSPC Yearbooks’ Creator software is a powerful yearbook design package that promotes complete creativity through its many page styles, design elements and tools – it is even possible to use your very own backgrounds.

Here are the instructions for how to do this:

1. Design your yearbook page background in whichever software you like (for design ideas take a look at our pre-designed and complete design flipbooks). Your background document should be 216mm wide by 303mm deep with a resolution of 300 dpi.

2. Once you’ve done this, save as a high-res ‘jpg’ file in a folder on your computer and keep it there. This will ensure that the background doesn’t disappear from your project due to the established link being broken.

3. Then, in the software click on the backgrounds tab at the bottom of the window. Using the cog icon on the right hand side, click on “Add…” then find and select the image for your background.

4.Drop the image onto a blank page in your project and build your layout on top of it (photo and text boxes etc).

5. Having done this, click on the page styles tab at the bottom and save the page as a ‘Page Style’ by clicking on the cog icon in the bottom right hand corner of the design window – this will give you options to save it as a left or right page style or as a spread.

6. The new spreads will appear under the ‘Page Styles’ tab. You can now drag and drop these onto your yearbook pages.
